A year of Ukrainian business recovery"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Since March 2022, the Centre for Economic Strategy (CES), together with the German Economic Team (GET), has been preparing monthly reviews of Ukraine\u2019s economy during a full-scale war. All notes can be found\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ces.org.ua\/en\/category\/research-list-en\/economy-during-the-war-en\/\">under the link<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In May, we traditionally reviewed the most important changes in the economy:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Macroeconomic trends: <\/strong>GDP forecast, business expectations, damage assessment from a full-scale Russian invasion.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Industry overview: <\/strong>electricity export, metallurgical, agricultural sectors.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Fiscal policy:<\/strong> tax revenues, foreign aid, budget deficit.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Monetary and exchange rate policy: <\/strong>inflation, exchange rate, NBU reserves.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We also added preliminary economic consequences for the energy and agricultural sectors from the explosion of the Kakhovskaya HPP to the report.<\/p>\n<p>The special theme of the month is the year of Ukrainian business recovery.
