Special topic: procurement analysis"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Centre for Economic Strategy and the Institute for Economic Research and Policy Consulting presented\u00a0<strong>The recovery spending watchdog in May 2024.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">For the past year, experts from the \u201cThe Recovery Spending Watchdog\u201d project have been conducting monthly reviews of recovery spending and procurement in the sector. \u00a0During this time, they have identified several challenges that hinder independent data assessment.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">At the event, we discussed in detail the obstacles civil society organisations face in monitoring recovery procurement, presented an analytical note on how Ukraine\u2019s procurement system works in the field of reconstruction, and provided recommendations for its improvement.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/QbM0FkM72kg?si=QzX7nEPh33qV5HLd\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Invited participants:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><strong>Valeriia Ivanova<\/strong>, Deputy Head of State Agency for Restoration and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Tetiana Mishta<\/strong>, Deputy Director of the Department \u2013 Head of the Division.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Dmytro Shevchuk<\/strong>, Deputy Chairman of the State Audit Service of Ukraine for Digital Development, Digital Transformations and Digitalization.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Oleksii Movchan<\/strong>, Chairman of the Subcommittee on Regulation of Public Procurement and Effective Management of State and Municipal Property, Committee on Economic Development.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>This release has been developed within the project \u201cThe Recovery Spending Watchdog\u201d, funded by the EU.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>The project is a collaborative effort involving the Centre for Economic Strategy, the Institute for Economic Research and Policy Consulting\u00a0, and Technology for Progress NGO.
