According to Forbes Ukraine, the total value of these mineral resources, encompassing both developed and undeveloped deposits, is estimated at approximately $15 billion. However, the potential profitability of exploiting these untapped reserves remains a subject of debate.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">More than 70 percent of the miners work near the front lines, in both Russian-occupied areas of the east and Ukrainian-controlled areas \u2013 mainly in the occupied areas of Luhansk and Donetsk, as well as in the Dnipropetrovsk region. Most of the coal and iron ore is stored there.
