Economic Review in September. How to insure investments against war

The Centre for Economic Strategy (CES), together with the German Economic Team (GET), invites you to join the discussion on “Economic Review in September. How to insure investments against war”.
The event will take place on September 22 at 16:00 (CEST) via Zoom.
The CES released its sixth monthly review of the most important developments in the economy since the beginning of the war. The reviews for previous months are available on the organisation’s website.
During the event, experts will traditionally provide an overview of the main sectors of Ukraine’s economy and focus on business insurance against military risks.
This tool is necessary for the Ukrainian economy to attract new investment, which will be used to rebuild the country and create new jobs.
Three ways to provide “military” risks insurance are being discussed now:
- through international organisations (including MIGA, part of the World Bank Group);
- through guarantees from partner countries for their businesses operating in Ukraine;
- through private insurance companies.
We will talk about this in more detail with Ukrainian experts, officials, and representatives of international institutions.
