(Event) How Ukraine Can Harvest and Export the Crop This Year
The Centre for Economic Strategy (CES), together with the German Economic Team (GET), are inviting you to join an event titled “How Ukraine Can Harvest and Export the Crop This Year”, featuring a discussion and a presentation of August’s major economic events.
The event will be held on September 13 at 17:15 (Kyiv Time) via Zoom.
Despite somber forecasts and the shrinking area suitable for farming, this year’s harvest will outperform last year. Yet the logistics remain a significant challenge, as the full-scale invasion ruined many trade paths, especially considering the failed grain deal with Russia and the attacks on Danube ports.
During the discussion, we will disсuss the potential opportunities and challenges with regards to grain exports together with experts and government officials.
Additionally, we will talk about the major trends and events in Ukraine’s economy in August 2023.
Previous months’ reports are available on our website. We also regularly update our War Economy Tracker, which contains visual data on the state of the economy.
Event schedule:
17:15-17:20 Opening remarks by Garry Polushkin, Project Manager at GET Ukraine;
17:20-17:45 Review of Ukraine’s economy in August by the CES team;
