Corporate lending in Ukraine during the war

Despite the stability and flexibility of Ukraine’s banking system during the full-scale invasion, business lending remains stagnant.
During the event, we presented the results of the econometric analysis of factors impacting corporate lending, including individual bank’s financial situation, type of ownership, loans interest rates and crowding-out effects from the government bonds and deposit certificates.
The policy implications for the reviving bank lending based on the report findings we discussed with representatives of the National Bank of Ukraine and sectoral experts.
