Economic Review in July. Recovery Here and Now
The Centre for Economic Strategy (CES), together with the German Economic Team, invite you to join the discussion on “Economic Review in July. Recovery Here and Now.”
The event will take place on July 21 at 16.00 (CEST) on the Zoom platform. Please, fill out the form below for registration.
CES has done its fourth monthly review of the most important changes in the economy since the beginning of the war. April, May and June reviews are available on the organization’s website.
At the event, experts will traditionally provide an overview of the main sectors of the Ukrainian economy. They will also separately focus on Ukraine’s recovery, particularly in the context of its integration into the European Union.
Following the granting of EU candidate status, the European community has de facto assumed responsibility for Ukraine’s recovery.
Ukraine’s direct losses from the Russian invasion alone have already exceeded $100 billion. In the de-occupied territories, the financial burden of reconstruction has been forced on local communities and residents.
However, this resource is limited, and there is still no large-scale solution for financing reconstruction, either domestically or internationally.
We will talk more about this with Ukrainian and foreign experts and government officials.
