How do Russian attacks on the energy system affect Ukrainian business?

17 February 2026

The Centre for Economic Strategy (CES) invites you to join the February review of the Ukrainian economy with a special topic: «How do Russian attacks on the energy system affect Ukrainian business?».

Massive Russian attacks on Ukraine’s energy sector have complicated business activity. According to a survey by the European Business Association, 80% of companies have been affected by power outages, but most of them have been able to adapt thanks to investments in autonomy.

During the discussion with members of the business community and government officials, we will discuss what solutions help companies continue operating amid shelling and power outages, what lessons should be learned before next winter, and what the government can do now to strengthen business resilience.

The event will take place on February 17 at 16:00 (Kyiv time) via Zoom.

Our traditional monthly reports are available on our website, and data visualizations can be found in the “Ukraine War Economy Tracker”.
