Is Ukraine prepared for the academic year? Restoring educational facilities
As of the beginning of August, the number of damaged and destroyed educational institutions exceeded 3,800. It is crucial to restore the population’s access to educational services, especially with the new academic year approaching.
During the event, project experts presented an overview of the reconstruction of damaged and destroyed educational institutions and, as usual, reviewed the most significant changes in the recovery efforts over the past month.
Following this, together with invited guests, we examined real-life examples of how access to education is being restored for Ukrainians, the approaches of the government and local authorities, and whether Ukraine is ready for the new academic year.
Invited participants:
- Anna Putsova, co-founder and head of regional development of the savED charitable foundation;
- Iryna Minkovska, co-founder and head of the NGO “Me and My School”;
- Tetiana Dolishna, Head of the NGO “Women in Ukraine”;
- Victoria Titova, CEO of Big City Lab urban bureau.
Moderator: Oleksandra Betliy, Lead Expert at the Institute for Economic Research and Policy Consulting.
