How to adapt the Ukrainian agricultural sector to the EU. Progress overview and plans
The Centre for Economic Strategy invites you to take part in the presentation of the research “How to adapt the Ukrainian agricultural sector to the EU. Progress overview and plans”.
One of the largest expenditure items in the EU budget is the financing of the Common Agricultural Policy, which regulates the agricultural sector of all EU countries. Work will soon begin on a new programme for the document, which will come into effect in 2028. Farmers protesting in EU countries are convinced of the need for fundamental changes.
To ensure successful European integration, Ukraine has already begun to harmonise its agricultural legislation. At the event, we will discuss:
- what progress the government has made and provide our own recommendations.
- how to go through the European integration process without harming Ukrainian agribusiness.
- whether the Common Agricultural Policy should be introduced in Ukraine.
