International trade in Ukraine: overview of key trends

This analytical report is devoted to the analysis of key changes in the volume, direction, and the structure of Ukrainian international trade after the start of a full -scale Russian invasion. After February 2022, reducing exports and reducing imports led to a significant deterioration in the trade balance in Ukraine. Between 2021 and 2022, Ukrainian exports became less diversified due to an increase in the share of agricultural goods against the background of reducing the exports of ferrous metals and products. In addition, the role of the EU as a trading partner has increased significant, while the reduction of trade with the CIS member states.
