(Event) How can Ukraine overcome the labour shortage after the war?
The Centre for Economic Strategy (CES) invites you to join a public discussion, “How can Ukraine overcome the labour shortage after the war?”.
The labour shortage is a large-scale challenge awaiting Ukraine after the end of the war. It can significantly affect such sectors of the economy as metallurgy or mechanical engineering.
Western countries have already faced similar problems after the First and Second World Wars. During the event, we will consider their experience and present our forecasts regarding post-war problems in the labour market and ways to solve them.
The event will take place on September 15 at 3 PM (CEST) in Zoom.

3:00 PM to 3:20 PM: Presentation with forecasts on the workforce and recommendations, Iana Okhrimenko, Senior Economist at CES;
3:20 PM to 4:20 PM: Discussion. Participants:
- Olena Gavura, HR director of JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia”;
- Dmytro Lyvch, Co-founder of the Centre for Economic Recovery (CER), Chair of the Board & CEO, EasyBusiness NGO;
- Yuliya Pylypenko, HR director of Raiffeisen Bank.
The event will be moderated by Hlib Vyshlinsky, Executive Director at CES.
The event will be conducted in Ukrainian with simultaneous translation into English.
