The new composition of the CES Supervisory Board
Yulia Klimenko and Yaryna Klyuchkovska have joined the Supervisory Board of the Centre for Economic Strategy. The full updated composition of the Supervisory Board is as follows:
– Chairman of the CES Supervisory Board — Tomas Fiala, Chief Executive Officer of the Dragon Capital
– Member of the CES Supervisory Board — Slava Vakarchuk, Ukrainian civic activist, the founder and frontman of Okean Elzy, one of Ukraine’s best-known rock bands
– Member of the CES Supervisory Board — Yulia Klimenko, Vice-President of the Kyiv School of Economics
– Member of the CES Supervisory Board — Yaryna Klyuchkovska, communications expert, lecturer at the leading national business schools
– Member of the CES Supervisory Board — Ivan Mikloš, Co-chairman of the Strategic Advisory Group for Supporting Ukrainian Reform (SAGSUR), and Adviser to the Prime Minister of Ukraine
The corresponding decision was adopted at the General Meeting of the non-governmental organization “Centre for Economic Strategy” on July 3, 2018. Andriy Boytsun, Slava Vakarchuk, Yulia Klimenko, Yaryna Klyuchkovska, Ivan Mikloš and Tomas Fiala have been the members of the NGO “Centre for Economic Strategy” since June 2018.
At the General Meeting, a number of organizational decisions have also been adopted, in particular:
– the Annual Report of the organization for 2017;
– the Financial Plan (budget) of the organization’s activities for 2018;
– the revised version of the organization’s Statute.
Slava Vakarchuk, Ivan Mikloš and Tomas Fiala have already been the members of the Supervisory Board.
New Supervisory Board members’ bios
Yulia Klimenko
Yulia is the Vice-President of the Kyiv School of Economics and a board member at the Transparency International Ukraine; she has 17 years of practical experience in managing large public and private companies and institutions. She was a deputy to the Minister, Head of Staff at the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine, as well as CEO at a leading company for development and management of commercial real estate projects. Yulia has a prominent expertise in managing complex issues and implementing structural changes in stormy environments, as well as in close cooperation with non-government organizations, key business associations, public institutions and MPs.
Yulia holds a Bachelor degree from the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy and Master’s degree in Business Administration from the International Management Institute.
Yaryna Klyuchkovska
Yaryna is a professional with more than 20 years of experience; she specializes in Communications Strategy, Executive Communications, Crisis Communications and Changes Communication. During most of her career, she had been heading communication departments at big multinational companies, including Microsoft Ukraine, Group DF, UMC (now — Vodafone Ukraine) and Metro Cash & Carry Ukraine. Yaryna had spent a year at the Benjamin Group / BSMG Worldwide (now — Weber Shandwick), a leading Silicon Valley PR agency in US. In 2014, she participated in creating and launching the Ukraine Crisis Media Center. In addition, she had been a consultant to dozens of company executives and top ranking officials; in particular, she was an advisor to the Minister of Economic Development and Trade, Aivaras Abromavicius. Yaryna holds a Master’s degree in Culturology at the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy and a Master’s degree in Mass Communications at the San José State University (USA). She was one of the founders of the Ukrainian Association of Public Relations (UAPR), and had been heading its board of directors in 2007–2008. In 2011, the Media Marketing Review magazine named her among the top 10 PR Directors in Ukraine. Yaryna is responsible for more than a dozen of educations programs in Communications for specialists and company executives. Since 2001, Yaryna teaches Communications at the leading business schools of Ukraine. Currently, she is a lecturer at the Lviv Business School and School of Public Management at the Ukrainian Catholic University.
