The recovery spending watchdog №11. Special topic: how medical facilities are rebuilt
The Centre for Economic Strategy and the Institute for Economic Research and Policy Consulting presented The recovery spending watchdog in July 2024.
As of June 2024, the number of damaged and destroyed medical facilities exceeds 1,600. On July 8, several premises of the Okhmatdyt hospital, including the new hospital building, suffered significant damage. Restoring access to medical services is critically important for the population.
During the event, project experts presented an overview of the reconstruction of damaged medical facilities and analyzed the relevant procurement processes. Additionally, we traditionally reviewed the most significant changes in the reconstruction efforts over the past month.
Following this, a discussion with representatives from the government and civil sector addressed crucial issues related to restoring access to medical services, particularly the reconstruction of damaged and destroyed medical facilities. The discussion explored current approaches and future needs.
Invited Participants:
- Taras Hrytsenko, Head of the Recovery Project Office at the Ministry of Health.
- Anastasia Maksymova, Project Management Specialist at the Patients of Ukraine Charitable Foundation.
- Zhanna Sherstyuk, Deputy Head of the Chernihiv Regional State Administration.
