The recovery spending watchdog №6. Special topic: Inclusive recovery

The Centre for Economic Strategy and the Institute for Economic Research and Policy Consulting presented The recovery spending watchdog in February 2024.

We reviewed the most important news from the recovery sector and analyze public spending on recovery projects over the past month.

The special focus of the event is inclusive recovery. Post-war reconstruction involves rebuilding destroyed infrastructure and housing, creating a new, better environment for Ukrainians. One of the fundamental principles of such reconstruction is barrierlessness and disability-inclusion.

This release has been developed within the project “The Recovery Spending Watchdog”, funded by the EU.

The project is a collaborative effort involving the Centre for Economic Strategy, the Institute for Economic Research and Policy Consulting , and Technology for Progress NGO. All project participants are members of the RISE coalition.

Participants of the discussion:

  • Nina Matsiuk, an expert on inclusivity and accessibility, at the NGO “Bezbariernist”;
  • Olena Tsysar, Senior Customer Experience Expert;
  • Mariya Yasenovska, Ukrainian expert on human rights at the European Disability Forum.
