The recovery spending watchdog №9. Special topic: procurement analysis

The Centre for Economic Strategy and the Institute for Economic Research and Policy Consulting presented The recovery spending watchdog in May 2024.

For the past year, experts from the “The Recovery Spending Watchdog” project have been conducting monthly reviews of recovery spending and procurement in the sector.  During this time, they have identified several challenges that hinder independent data assessment.

At the event, we discussed in detail the obstacles civil society organisations face in monitoring recovery procurement, presented an analytical note on how Ukraine’s procurement system works in the field of reconstruction, and provided recommendations for its improvement.

This release has been developed within the project “The Recovery Spending Watchdog”, funded by the EU.

The project is a collaborative effort involving the Centre for Economic Strategy, the Institute for Economic Research and Policy Consulting , and Technology for Progress NGO. All project participants are members of the RISE coalition.
