The analytical support for Temporary Investigation Commission on Economic Security is preparing under the Good Governance Fund Project “Economic Hub: Sound PFM Policies and Vision for Growth,” which is supported by the UK government (UK International Development). The project delivery partners are Abt Britain and the Centre for Economic Strategy.

We present the main results of the Temporary Investigation Commission on Economic Security and plans for 2024. During the year of work, we have managed the following:
- Closed 5 large schemes which causes significant losses for the state budget: “Duty Free” scheme on tobacco market, several schemes in gambling industry and non-transparent selling of seized russian assets by ARMA.
- Additional UAH 15 billion the state budget received last year as a result of closed schemes.
- Joint efforts with more than 50 prominent business associations, expert centers and NGOs.
The main challenges for the 2024 include:
- Restart of the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine (ESBU).
- Oversight of the State Customs Service.
- Reducing the share of illegal markets.
- Effective management of state property.
- Implementation of obligations tied to international direct budget support within deadlines.
