The recovery spending watchdog №5. Special topic: recycling of construction waste

The Centre for Economic Strategy, and the Institute for Economic Research and Policy Consulting presented the fifth Ukraine Reconstruction and Recovery monitoring.

We reviewed the changes that have occurred over the past month in the recovery sector and analysed public spending on recovery projects.

The special topic of the event is the utilization of construction waste for reconstruction. One of the consequences of Russia’s full-scale invasion is a significant amount of construction waste that is not being recycled in Ukraine in full. Recycling makes it possible to rationally use resources for reconsand truction, taking into account both environmental and economic benefits.

This release has been developed within the project “The Recovery Spending Watchdog”, funded by the EU.

The project is a collaborative effort involving the Centre for Economic Strategy, the Institute for Economic Research and Policy Consulting , and Technology for Progress NGO. All project participants are members of the RISE coalition.
