Ukraine’s budget for 2025: Army, Taxes, Russian assets

12 December 2024

The presentation of an economic review in November, 2024 is available by the link.

The state budget, adapting to the shocks of the war, is trying to be as “normal” as possible in the current circumstances. One important decision was the first tax increase since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.

What are the risks of budget execution in 2025? And will we be able to fulfil all our commitments?

In addition to discussing the budget, CES experts will traditionally review the main changes in the country’s economy in November. Reports for previous months are available on our website, and data visualisation is available in the Ukraine War Economy Tracker.
