How much money does Ukraine lack? Budget deficit, partner assistance, and prospects for 2025

20 August 2024

Due to the delay in US military aid, the government was forced to shift defense expenditures from the end of the year to “now.” As a result, a $12 billion gap has emerged in the budget, and the authorities have started discussing tax increases.

Additionally, we traditionally reviewed the main changes in the country’s economy over the past month. Reports from previous months are available on our website, and data visualization can be found in the Ukraine War Economy Tracker.
