How is the economy of Kharkiv transforming? The front-line city experience

Kharkiv is the largest frontline city in Ukraine, continuing to live and work despite constant shelling by the Russian army. Using Kharkiv as a case study, we explored what is happening to large frontline cities’ economies, budgets, and human capital.

Together with Kharkiv entrepreneurs and local government representatives, we discussed business sentiment and ways to improve the current situation in the city.

Additionally, we reviewed the main changes in the country’s economy for April. Reports for previous months are available on our website, and data visualization is in the Ukraine War Economy Tracker.
