How can the Ukrainian economy withstand new energy attacks?
In March, Russia resumed terrorist attacks on Ukrainian energy infrastructure. The Dnipro HPP was completely put out of action, and the largest private investor in the energy industry in Ukraine «DTEK» reported that 80% of its facilities were damaged. Ukraine had to stop exporting electricity, which previously had reached a record during the full-scale war.
At the event, we discussed what impact the new attacks on the energy infrastructure would have on the economy, how prepared the Ukrainian energy sector is for them now, and how businesses and people should prepare for them.
In addition, we traditionally reviewed the main changes in the country’s economy in March. Reports for previous months are available on our website. Data visualisation is also available in the War Economy Tracker.
