Oleksandra Kolomiiets
Specialist in social policies, labor economics and relations, demography. Oleksandra analyzes public policies, socio-economic consequences of political decisions, develops recommendations for public authorities on further improvement in public administration.
Professional experience
Oleksandra worked as an analyst at the National Institute for Strategic Studies (NISS) over 15 years, has the experience in expertise, consulting in research and analytical projects on social security, human development, family and demographic policy. She was also engaged in the policy papers writing and analytical notes elaboration (for the Office of the President of Ukraine, committees of the Verkhovna Rada, ministries, the Office of the National Security and Defense Council). Oleksandra provided expert assessment of draft laws for committees of the Verkhovna Rada, took participation in the work of expert councils, commissions, working groups established by public authorities. She also has three-years experience in leading scientific department, organizing scientific teamwork of the social strategy department of NISS, writing and editing collective scientific monographs, analytical reports.
Education
Oleksandra graduated with honors from the National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” with Master’s degree in Public Administration. In 2007 – 2013 was a post-graduate student at the National Institute for Strategic studies (took course in economic security of state), obtained her PhD degree after the public defense of the thesis “Demographic factors of labor security in Ukraine”.
