Trade between Ukraine and the EU: Challenges of the ‘Semi-Open’ Market

The Centre for Economic Strategy invites you to join a public discussion titled “Trade between Ukraine and the EU: Challenges of the ‘Semi-Open’ Market”.

The European Union is Ukraine’s biggest trade partner over the past ten years. The Association Agreement gave a significant boost to the integration of markets, which opened many new opportunities. At the same time, both parties are now also facing challenges, which require bilateral solutions, such as the blockade of grain exports by Ukraine’s neighbors in the EU.

We will discuss this and other cases together with experts and government officials on September 8 at 16:00 (Kyiv Tvia Zoom.

The discussion will complement a presentation of a research report on the same topic, compiled by CES experts.

  • Olha Trofimtseva, Ambassador for Special Assignments at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

The event will be moderated by Veronika Movchan, Research Director at the Institute for Economic Research and Political Consultations.
