Economy review in March 2023. How is Ukrainian IT sector transforming?

Since March 2022, the Centre for Economic Strategy (CES), together with the German Economic Team (GET), has been preparing monthly reviews of Ukraine’s economy during a full-scale war. All notes can be found under the link.

In March of 2023, we traditionally reviewed the most important economic changes for the month. Content of the note:

  • Macroeconomic trends: will GDP grow this year? What is happening with business activity, and how many direct losses did Ukraine suffer due to the war?
  • Industry overview: what is happening with the agricultural sector and metallurgy? How is IT feeling during the war?
  • Fiscal policy: how much international aid has Ukraine received since the beginning of the year, and will there be enough funding to cover all expenses?
  • Monetary and exchange rate policy: what is happening to the banking sector?
