How were reconstruction funds spent in 2024

We invite you to participate in the event How were reconstruction funds spent in 2024”, organised as part of The Recovery Spending Watchdogproject, supported by the European Union. In 2024, the government allocated resources to critical reconstruction and recovery projects.

We will examine where the funding came from, which key initiatives were implemented, and what will remain a priority for 2025. Additionally, we will review the latest Ukraine Recovery and Reconstruction Needs Assessment (RDNA4) and its alignment with real challenges.

The event will take place on 4 April at 15:00 on Zoom. Registration is available via the link.

The discussion will be held in Ukrainian, with simultaneous translation into English.

15:00 – 15:10 Opening remarks, Henrik Huitfeldt, Head of Operations Section II: Public Finance, Business Support, and Social Policies at EU Delegation to Ukraine;

15:10 – 15:30 Presentation of the regular “Recovery Spending Watchdog” report, Volodymyr Landa, Senior Economist of the Centre for Economic Strategy, Oleksandra Betliy, Senior Research Fellow at IER;

15:30 — 16:30 Discussion and Q&A. Invited speakers:

  • Denys Uliutin, First Deputy Minister of Finance of Ukraine.
  • Viktor Maziarchuk, Head of the Fiscal Policy Research Center.
  • Vasyl Nevidomyi, Deputy Chief of Staff – Director of the Department of Revenue, Financial Institutions, and State Debt at the Accounting Chamber of Ukraine.
